Happy Monday! And just like that the weekend is over and we start another week of online learning. Please make sure you are reading through the directions carefully and double checking your work before you submit it. Many of you are doing a nice job. However, some of you aren’t meeting the guidelines and expectations and are losing points. This could result in a “P” (for progressing) or “LP” (limited progress) rather than a “M” (met expectations) on your report card. Try to submit your best work. It’s a rainy day today – try to make the most of it.

T.G.I.F! Parents – Please double check your students Google Classroom work. Many students are submitting work that doesn’t follow directions and I have returned work to them with explanations. However, they aren’t fixing and resubmitting it. If they don’t, I cannot give them credit. Please remember that I am posting the MINIMUM work. Thank you

Happy Thursday! I’m grateful for the overcast day expected today. Otherwise, I would be tempted to be outside again later this afternoon. We have had a couple of gorgeous days recently. The rainy weather offers less enticement, and I need that to get paperwork done.

Happy Wednesday! Did you get a chance to see “The Blue Angels” yesterday? I was outside with Stella at 11:30 – playing fetch with her, picking up twigs, digging up weeds, and I “heard” a commotion. I looked up into the clear blue sky and didn’t see anything. For another minute or two, the commotion kept building – many powerful engines getting closer. Soon I saw the magnificent “Blue Angels” soaring overhead! Stella even barked – I think she understood the patriotism and respect of the moment. As quickly as they appeared – they were gone in a flash. We stayed in the backyard for a while, enjoying the warming temperatures. Then the commotion returned, much to my surprise … a 2nd fly-by from these amazing pilots! WXYZ posted this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwHpZZKI2fY and here are some photos taken from a man I know:

Happy Tuesday! I planned on doing our regular “Online Meeting” today at 11 a.m., but we will have to wait until next week. Why you ask??? Because “The Blue Angels” will be flying over today! If you have never seen them, try to plan on being outside between 11 and 12 today. They are magnificent! They are the United States Navy’s flight demonstration squadron. To say that they are HIGHLY skilled is a huge understatement. Happy Monday! I hope you had an enjoyable weekend with your families – celebrating your mom and all she does for you and your family. My daughter cooked dinner for my mom and me. We still haven’t gathered together because of concerns with my father’s health (he’s staying well and we want to keep it that way), but it was nice, nonetheless. The temperatures are supposed to be very cool still this week, which it disappointing to me because I enjoy planting annual flowers.

T.G.I.F! We’ve almost made it through another week of online learning. I was able to do some learning myself with the “Big Blue Button” through iLearn and we will have a virtual meeting on Monday at noon. Directions will be posted in Google Classroom either today or this weekend – look for the heading “Virtual Meeting: Big Blue Button.” I hope you have been working on something special for your moms for this Sunday. I am delivering dinner, dessert, and flowers (inside and outside for planting) to my mom either this evening or tomorrow. My daughter is cooking for both my mom and me so I am off the hook on Sunday. Regardless of how you celebrate your mom – please say thank you to her for ALL she does for you. She loves you more than she loves herself.
