Clean-Up Parade!
Our students and staff will be participating in the traditional “Clean-Up Parade” this year sponsored by the City of Dearborn. It will be on Tuesday, May 9 at 1:30 PM. The students will march in a short parade in the neighborhood along with City Officials and the Howard Staff as part of the “City Beautiful” program. We hope many of our families will be on hand to cheer for our students as they march with their creative signs designed to inspire everyone to keep our city clean!
Students – please start make a sign to carry. Signs should promote taking care of the city and environment.

Bottle and Can Collection
Starting Monday next week we start our annual bottle and can collection as one of our activities for Green Schools! Recycling bottles and cans is a simple way we can help the environment.
When you donate the bottles and cans to Howard School, you are also helping us beautify our building. We will be using the money to purchase flowers and flower bulbs for outside our entryway and flowerbeds.
Please remember to only bring in plastic bottles or aluminum cans and bottles that can be returned for 10 cents. No Glass! Please also remember to rinse out the containers so they are not sticky. We will continue our collection for 3 weeks.
Thank you for helping keep Howard School beautiful and green!
