Bottle & Can Collection: Green School Initiative
Happy Earth Day Everyone!
Please start saving and sending in your returnable bottles and cans for our Green Schools Program. They will be returned with every 10 cents put toward beautifying our school and other Green School initiatives.
This year we were elevated to “Emerald” from “Green” because we have done better at reducing, reusing, and recycling at Howard,
Please help us by sending in those bottles and cans … Thank you!
5th grade Honors Ceremony
5th grade Camp Chaperone
Thank you to the several fathers in our classroom who volunteered to chaperone at camp this year. Mr. Mike Hammoud is the dad who will be assisting this year.
River Rouge Water Festival Field Trip
I sent home a note with the information regarding this field trip scheduled for Thursday, May 3. Please ask your child for the note. We need parent drivers to transport us to/from UM-Dearborn. You do not need to stay for the field trip, but are welcome to. At this time, one parent has volunteered to assist. As stated in previous blog posts, if we do not get enough drivers, the field trip will be cancelled.

We are finished with the E.L.A. part of the M-Step. Next Tuesday, we start on M-Step Math.
For camp, the volunteer/chaperone paper is due on Tuesday, and the $135 (cash or check payable to Howard Elementary) & permission slip are due on Wednesday. By the end of next week, I will post who our male chaperone will be as we have a few dads who expressed interest.
