Dream Big Inspires us All!
We had a great day at The Henry Ford. We started our trip with a movie called Dream Big. The movie celebrates the human ingenuity behind engineering marvels big and small and looks at the inspiration that drives engineers to create better lives for people around the world. We were all impressed and a little inspired, I think, to think outside the box.
Thank you to all the parents who were able to join us. These parent chaperones walked throughout the museum with small groups of students. When we returned to school we had a wonderful conversation about our experience. Here are a few pictures of our trip.
Have you got the Spirit?

Wind to my back, the Sun in front, and my Friends beside me!
Good Morning Parents and Students!
I hope everyone is safe and warm. March weather has certainly been “severe”, sometimes “dangerous” and for me these last few days “adventurous”. I lost power at my house on Friday afternoon. So with the help of friends I was able to accept my circumstances with a smile and appreciate the fact that kindness is really the foundation of all that is good in the world.
When we return to school on Monday we will still be going on our field trip to The Henry Ford. Please send a bagged lunch with your student and comfortable walking shoes. We have a few parents that will be joining us. We are counting on these parents to drive themselves and their student. We only have one bus. This saves us quite a bit of money-money to use on another trip. The bus will leave school around 9:15. We are scheduled to see the movie, Dream Big, at 10:00. The movie is about an hour. Afterwards, we will be visiting the museum and then eating lunch at the museum. We will return to school by 2:30.
Again, many thanks for your support and cooperation.
sincerely,
a. Cronin
CAMP CRO-ECO-LA-ICKI
Here is a sample of some fun that our class is having getting ready for March reading activities.
Each student decorated their locker. The class voted to make our door the cover and table of contents of the book called SCARY STORIES.
The name of our fourth grade camp, Camp Croecolaicki, is a combination of the four fourth grade teacher’s last names.
Ready! Set! Read!
Greetings Everyone!
It is hard to believe that Wednesday is March 1! During March, across the United States, we celebrate reading by engaging in many fun and hopefully meaningful activities. On Wednesday we will have a school wide assembly to kick off reading month. You and your student can fully participate in all of these activities by following the suggestions on the reading calendar that went home right before our break.
Also, I hope all of you can make time to come to our classroom and read a book to our class. You can share a family favorite or I can provide you with a book from our classroom library. An easy time to read to our class is first thing each morning (8:50-9:15) or at the end of our day (3:15-3:35). Please send me an email or a note with your student and we will pencil you in on our class calendar. Please include the day, date and time that you would like to come. I am looking forward to seeing you!
Many thanks!
Sincerely,
A. Cronin
March is Reading Month!
Greetings Parents!
I hope everyone has a wonderful break, vacation or combination of the two.
When we return to school the month of March brings a celebration of readers. The staff and our PTA are planning many wonderful activities and events. Today students brought home a calendar that includes many of these activities. In addition I would like to extend an invitation to all of you as well as other extended family members to read to our class. This is a really nice opportunity for you to share a little part of yourself with our class-and to show your student and their classmates the importance of reading. In general, the beginning and the end of the school day works best. I will try to accommodate your requests and make adjustments in our schedule if necessary. I really hope that all of you find a way to join us sometime this month.
Many thanks to all of you for all you do…
Sincerely,
A. Cronin
LOVE makes the World Go Round!
Wow! We had an absolutely wonderful Valentine’s party! Many thanks to all of you for sending in treats and/or being here to make this day full of love and kindness.
Each student is bring home a bag of goodies plus some art work that I hope you enjoy. Mrs. Batha (Connor’s mom) and Mrs. Harajli (Jenna’s mom) coordinated this event and spent lots of time, effort and money to make this a wonderful afternoon.
With all my love and from the bottom of my heart-THANK YOU!
Sincerely,
A. Cronin
