Hello Everyone!
WOW! We had a wonderful, fabulous, special kind of day. I really hope you have already heard about it. The field trip to Stout to see ALADDEN was FANTASTIC!
We had a few special things happen during our trip. My sister was involved in the production but I had no idea she had a walk on during the show to share her tap dancing skills! I was blown away-it was so much fun to see her and such a surprise. Of course the class went wild too because she came over before the show to meet everyone and say hi. Afterwards, she took us behind the stage where we got to meet the stars of the show. The kids loved it! Lisa texted me that the actors really felt like rock stars that so many kids wanted to shake their hands and were obviously so very happy about their performances.
They are performing this weekend. Friday at seven, and Saturday at two and six. They are also going to have a market set up in the lobby and will sell food and refreshments. This is a great family event and it supports kids, teachers, the arts and our Dearborn Schools. Mrs. Lahooti bought tickets immediately afterwards to take her grandchildren. I hope you can make it too!
I am including two pictures of Mr.Beydoun and Mr. Walters working with the kids four months ago. They are sitting in a circle on the stage with scripts. After four months of rehearsal after school, on weekends and throughout the breaks the production is ready for showtime.
Here is a picture of Tia, my sister Lisa, and Jenna. Looks like they are having some pizza before their performance at the Arts Festival! Lisa is wearing her new Aladdin T-Shirt. She is working with Jim Walters and Rashid Beydoun in Stout’s production of Aladdin, which we are seeing tomorrow!!
Greetings to Everyone!
I just got back from the opening reception of the Dearborn Youth Arts Festival. I saw many art teachers there. They do an amazing job every year to showcase their student’s art work in this event. Later in the evening the music department shares some of their accomplishments with the performances of the Honor’s Choir and musical numbers from the theatre programs throughout the district. Our room was represented with Jenna and Tia who are part of the Honor’s Choir and Yasmeen whose artwork was chosen by Mrs. Bunting.

Greetings Parents!
Market Day is on a Friday, May 5 from 12:30 until 3:00. You are invited to come during this event and do a little shopping.
Each person will get 20 dollars in play money for shopping. Also, other family are invited to join the fun-grandparents and extended family members and or friends are also encouraged to attend. We need Shoppers!
Students will have time in class to work on their market day projects. Students can bring in supplies and keep them at school. They can work during indoor recess, lunch time and on Wednesdays and Friday afternoons during Social Studies.
Many parents have had an older student involved in Market Day. You know what a big event this can be. Student companies create a store-they set up an inviting display of their products which might include table cloths, colorful baskets, cool signs or price lists. Student companies are competing with each other to earn the most money or create the most unique product.
Please continue to support your student make this a wonderful student event!
Here is a picture of Jenna and Lola working on one of their products for market day. They are making mini squishes. Super cool!
Thanks again for all your support,

Biking around the neighborhood I came across many of these signs. I like this sign.
Take care everyone…
Hello Everyone!
Yes, it’s true! There was a funny bunny at school today-mostly looking like Mrs.Batha, Mrs. Harajli and Mrs. Hatlin . Thanks to these three parents we had some “eggceptional” fun today. Students looked for eggs outside. Each egg contained a piece to a puzzle. The kids had to work together to put the puzzle together which contained a written message. Once we were back inside we were all treated to an ice cream sundae-with all kinds of toppings! It was wonderful! Many thanks to our room moms for organizing this super fun event.
I hope everyone has a wonderful three day weekend. Happy Easter!
