We had a wonderful week which ended with seeing our book buddies today. We used scraps from the Scrap Box in Ann Arbor to create paper costumes for a Halloween art project. Lots of fun!

So next Thursday is our class party and school parade. Our class party will start at 11:30 and include a pizza lunch with drinks. We have planned some fun activities and kids will be able to pass out treats to their classmates. We will make treat bags in the morning. We will also have ART AND GYM on Thursday so please make your student’s school costume comfortable.

Also, I am still in need of Apple cider and Donuts for our PBIS celebration on Tuesday. Let me know if you can donate some or all of this treat-MANY THANKS!

Halloween Party is Thursday, October 31, from 11:30-1:00. Halloween Parade is at 2:50. We are asking for 3 dollars from each student to help pay for the pizza, drinks, and pumpkins.

We met our new kindergarten book buddies today. It was such a wonderful experience for all of us. One fourth grader told me that she hadn’t smiled that much in a long time. Enjoy the photos!

Just a reminder that tomorrow is a half day of school.

We will meet our new book buddies tomorrow too! We will be working with Mrs. Fillmore’s Kindergarteners. This is always a wonderful experience for all the kids. We will do various fun and educational activities together.

I will be sending home a note as we get closer to Halloween. However, I wanted to share a few ideas and decisions.

Halloween is October 31. That is a Thursday. Our class has a very busy Thursday afternoon which includes ART AND GYM. Also, the ALL SCHOOL HALLOWEEN PARADE WILL BE THURSDAY AT 2:50.

So, our classroom party will start just before lunch…at 11:30.We will order cheese pizzas, have some veggies and dip and provide juice boxes. We have two games planned and will have pumpkins to decorate.

I am asking each student to donate three dollars. Also, please email me if you would also like to donate any of the following items:

Plates, cups, napkins, a bag of candy, mini cupcakes, donuts, cider and any fun craft materials for our pumpkin decorating activity.

Students will be bringing home a study guide for a map quiz on Monday. We will also have another short quiz on LAND FORMS on Wednesday.

Students will be starting a new chapter of our Geography unit next week. The topic will be REGIONS of the United States.
