Valentine Plans…

Hello,

This Friday is Valentines Day! Students will be decorating cool bags to collect their cards and candy. The kids also took home a class list if they plan on addressing their cards. Everyone likes to be remembered on this day of “love” so you might include special area teachers, the office staff or our friends in the cafeteria. We will be making special Valentines for Fourth grade co-teachers .
We plan on watching a movie later in the morning. If you would like to send in a treat for the class to enjoy that would be terrific.
The class also decided they would like pizza for a “snack” so I am collecting 1 dollar from each student to cover part of the cost. I will order enough pizza for each student to only have two smaller slices. This will not replace lunch on Friday.

Also on Friday we will have a locker and desk clean out as we prepare for our mid winter break.

Thanks again for your support and cooperation!

sincerely,

A. Cronin

NWEA is OVER (for now)…

Greetings,

All three fourth grades are doing a little celebrating tomorrow. Students can bring in electronics or board games for a mini game day. All electronics and board games will be safely locked in the classroom. Students can only use them during the agreed upon time. Students will be able play with other fourth graders during this time-not just from our class.

We will still be switching classes. Students have math home work tonight and a multiplication quiz tomorrow. Students will also have a SPELLING TEST.

This round of NWEA testing will NOT be on their report card. The results for reading and math will show up on the third report.

Thanks for your cooperation,

A. Cronin

Happy New Year! NWEA starts on Monday…

Hello to all,

NWEA testing will start on Monday. All fourth grade classes will start with the MATH portion of the test. Students will be bringing home a math review guide today. Each student has a study sheet created just for them.

Ms. Vuichard has been working on these math concepts all week.

The math test usually takes us two mornings to complete.

Please encourage your student to try their best.

A good night’s sleep is always helpful too. In Addition, please send in an extra healthy snack for your student to enjoy. We will have two or three breaks throughout the morning.

Many thanks for your support and cooperation,

Ms. Cronin

Sing-a-Alongs, Movies and Parties…OH MY!

Season’s Greetings!

Our last week of fourth grade in 2019 is here! There are quite a few fun activities planned too!

On Wednesday afternoon we will have an all school singalong in the gym. Our music teacher along with the fourth and fifth grade treble makers will host a singalong of holiday songs.
On Thursday afternoon the monthly PBIS celebration is Movies and Treats. Students will sign up for a movie on Monday from a list of 7 or 8 different titles. Students can bring a small snack to watch the movie. Thank you to those who were able to support the PBIS fundraiser.

Finally Friday! Our class will have a party in the morning. Students have signed up to bring an assortment food, drinks , and treats. ALSO, STUDENTS HAVE ORGANIZED A SECRET SANTA. Some have already brought their presents in…Remember, the gift should cost between 5 and 8 dollars, be wrapped and have a gift tag.

Many thanks for all your support and cooperation!

Sincerely,

A. Cronin
