MARCH is READING MONTH!

Greetings to All!

Once again Haigh will celebrate reading during the month of March. On Monday students will bring home a packet of information: a calendar of school events, information on an after school read-a-thon, book fair information and a way to track your student’s reading at home.
The city of Dearborn is also celebrating reading month. The Big Read kicks off next Saturday in the Anderson Theatre at The Henry Ford. They will be handing out free books, seed packets and ideas for celebrating this fun and important month.

Sincerely,

A. Cronin

Math Test, Spelling Test and a Party…OH MY!

Greetings-

Students will begin the day tomorrow with two tests. Please check Miss Vuichard’s blog for more information on the math test.

Also, all students are encouraged to wear RED as part of our SPIRIT WEEK and for Valentine’s Day.

We are keeping our party low key-students will create a cool bag, pass out treats and Valentines and we will watch a movie-Kung Fu Panda.

We made Valentines for our Kindergarten Book Buddies and we will be seeing them tomorrow too!

In addition our Biography project is making progress. Please join us on Friday, March 13, from 10:45-11:45. We are calling it Bagels and Biographies.

Students will be presenting their biographies and parents have a chance to visit all three classrooms and check out all the great writing.

Thanks for all you do,

A. Cronin
