McCollough:
1st Grade: I can navigate websites on an ipad and clear my apps and websites when I am finished. I can choose the correct verb to complete a sentence.
- Read aloud and discuss “The Invisible Boy”
- Demonstrate/review iPad basics
- Demonstrate the To Bee or Not To Bee activity on funbrain.com
- Student independent practice.
2nd Grade: I can use Blockly to piece together code commands to run a program on code.org. I can follow written instructions to write code commands and run programs on code.org.
- Code.org Star Wars review/demonstration. Reminded them of the importance of actually reading the feedback that code.org provides when they make a mistake.
- Star Wars Video explaining how to create events in code.org
- Independent practice. Code.org: Star Wars.
3rd Grade: I can navigate an encyclopedia to look up information about people, places, and things. I can use an encyclopedia to find and write down two facts about a variety of topics.
- Introduction to Encyclopedias: the type of information they contain, how they are different from dictionaries and thesauri, how to find what you are looking for.
- Independent Practice in locating information in the correct volume of an encyclopedia.
Stout: check out with 6th grade Language Arts classes; students are coming and going to complete projects that are due this week.
