As you journey through the 2020-2021 school year, I would like you to keep in mind ….

Dear Families,
Welcome to a new and exciting year of math! I hope you’ve all had an enjoyable and much relaxing summer and are looking forward to a wonderful academic year as I am. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you, open lines of communication and introduce the class syllabus.
My name is Mrs. Fatima Al Raishouni and this year marks my fifth year teaching in the Dearborn Public school district. I carry a Bachelor of Arts Degree and certification to teach k-5th grade, all subjects, and 6th-8th grade mathematics and language arts from The University of Michigan-Dearborn. Additionally, I have a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy with Administrative Certification from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. I am both grateful and excited to be working with you and your child this year.
Moreover, I consider myself fortunate to have the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful, determined and inspiring team. Here at Lowrey, it is our mission to educate all students to high academic standards within a safe, stimulating environment and ensure that they are prepared to become productive citizens. I will do my best to educate, inspire, and celebrate each child and provide them with a safe and stimulating environment so that they may reach academic excellence and be productive members in their community and beyond.
As I will be teaching your child 7th grade mathematics, it is my goal to teach for understanding. I will work with your child to develop and progress their mathematical powers to participate effectively as citizens and workers in our contemporary world. I hope to motivate them to become life-long learners and responsible, successful individuals.
I am excited for the chance to get to know your child, and I am looking forward to a happy, successful and productive school year.
