I am Zahra Zaarour, the school social worker at Haigh and Henry Ford Elementary.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I studied at Wayne State University.  I joined Dearborn Public Schools in 2017. I have a mental health background.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My role in the schools is to provide services to students to enhance their social and emotional well-being and improve their academic performance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;I work with students, teachers, parents, and other staff members to support students that may be having difficulties with academics or that may have social emotional needs. I also Advocate for the child and mobilize family, school and community resources to enable the child to learn as effectively as possible.
