{"id":825,"date":"2018-10-02T08:53:53","date_gmt":"2018-10-02T12:53:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/zechar\/?p=825"},"modified":"2018-10-02T08:53:53","modified_gmt":"2018-10-02T12:53:53","slug":"next-week-in-art","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/zechar\/2018\/10\/02\/next-week-in-art\/","title":{"rendered":"Next week in art&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Young 5:\u00a0 Circles!\u00a0 We will be making lots of them in many sizes and colors!<\/p>\n<p>Kindergarten:\u00a0 Paul Klee loved cats as much as I do!\u00a0 We are doing directed drawings in his style this week.\u00a0 Watch for some PURRFECT art to come home.<\/p>\n<p>1st Grade:\u00a0 We are looking at the art of Bebo, a man that likes to create animals with lots of color and pattern.<\/p>\n<p>2nd Grade:\u00a0 We will learn about perspective by talking about foreground, middle ground and background.\u00a0 Our drawings will have a fall theme to them.<\/p>\n<p>3rd Grade:\u00a0 We will be looking at how to do basic line symmetry.\u00a0 Insects have that and they will be the inspiration for our work this week.<\/p>\n<p>4th Grade:\u00a0 We are finishing up our art piece that combined overhead views with pop ups.\u00a0 They are very interesting.\u00a0 Come back for some photos after 10\/5!<\/p>\n<p>5th Grade:\u00a0 Our discussion this week focuses on the similarities and differences of geometric and organic shapes.\u00a0 We will add some line designs and create a cool abstract piece.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Young 5:\u00a0 Circles!\u00a0 We will be making lots of them in many sizes and colors!
