Our grades have to be posted on Monday, June 8!!!! I am putting a F<strong>RIDAY, JUNE 5<\/strong> <strong>due date on ALL ART ASSIGNMENTS<\/strong> so I can get everything done in time to post. I will accept any art from our time away from school until <strong>Friday, June 5!<\/strong> That is the cut off to get it all done. Thanks so much for all of the ways you have continued art at home for our students!!!! Pop Art is short for Popular Art or everyday stuff kind of art. He was born Andrew Warhola in 1928 in Pennsylvania. His parents were from a part of Europe that is now part of Slovakia. They moved to New York in the 1920&#8217;s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is famous for exploring popular culture in his work. Popular culture is anything from Coca Cola to pop stars to the clothes people like to wear.<br>He made a print of Campbell\u2019s Soup \u2013 a popular brand of soup in the United States. He said he ate Campbell\u2019s tomato soup every day for lunch for 20 years!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tate.org.uk\/art\/images\/work\/P\/P07\/P07242_8.jpg\" alt=\"Andy Warhol, \u2018Black Bean\u2019 1968\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He liked bright, simple coloring and using one image that he repeated.  Try <strong>your<\/strong> hand at Warhol&#8217;s style.  You can draw your own or use one of these images.
