Hello Families,<\/p>\n
It sure feels great to be back in the classroom after being out for Science Training! \u00a0I have to laugh though. \u00a0While at the training, there were some teachers stating how difficult it is to have parents volunteer in their classrooms. \u00a0I didn’t mean to but I sort of giggled. \u00a0Why you ask? \u00a0In our kindergarten classroom, I had 16 parents who have offered to either volunteer or be a Room Home Parent! \u00a0I think that speaks volumes. \u00a0Unfortunately, when I mentioned that fact to the PTA, they said that we could have no more than three Homeroom Parents. \u00a0So I put all the names in our red plaid can and pulled out three names. \u00a0The Homeroom Moms for this year are: \u00a0Erin Carlile, Michelle Williamson and Maggie Wax. \u00a0For those of you did not get selected, there will be plenty of opportunities to volunteer.<\/p>\n
We had a fantastic\u00a0turn out for Open House last night. \u00a0It sure was nice to see everyone. \u00a0I apologize to anyone that I didn’t get to speak to directly, at certain times it got so busy that it difficult to reach everyone.<\/p>\n
We sent home a Bullying Survey home in your child’s red folder. \u00a0It is really important that you fill one out and return to school. \u00a0You can return it in your child’s folder or turn it into the office. \u00a0A Spirit Wear order form was sent home today too. \u00a0All orders are due back by Friday, September 26th.<\/p>\n
Monday’s\u00a0first lunch choice is cheese quesidilla. \u00a0Second choice is cheese pocket pizza.<\/p>\n
Letter of the Week: \u00a0 R r \u00a0 Letter books will be sent home on Monday and will need to be returned on Friday.<\/p>\n
This week I will be administering the district writing prompt and a series of literacy tasks.<\/p>\n
