I hope you are out enjoying this beautiful afternoon right now. \u00a0Here is what you need to know for the week ahead:<\/p>\n
Letter Books: \u00a0we will be studying the “bl” chunk this week. \u00a0Please return letter books by Thursday.<\/p>\n
Spelling words: \u00a0we will be studying the “et” chunk this week. \u00a0Hot spelling words include: \u00a0get, \u00a0met, \u00a0pet, \u00a0wet plus two cold words with the “et” chunk. \u00a0Test will be on Thursday. \u00a0There will be no individual spelling words this week.<\/p>\n
Homelinks 7.7 and 7.9\u00a0were\u00a0due on Monday, May 19th.<\/p>\n
Homelinks 7.14 and 8.2 will be due on Tuesday, May 27th<\/p>\n
Homelinks 8.6 and 8.8 will be due on Monday, June 2nd.<\/p>\n
Homelinks 8.11 and 8.14 will be due on Monday, June 9th.<\/p>\n
This week I will be administering the DRA (Developmental Reading Assessment) to the students individually. \u00a0Therefore, I will not be seeing our strategy groups and will not be sending home new books. \u00a0Please continue to have your child read each night. \u00a0If you are looking for some different books to read, please log into razkids.com.<\/p>\n
Every afternoon\u00a0this week, I will be administering the District Math Assessment to students individually. \u00a0I started today and so far the students are performing very well.<\/p>\n
No School on Friday, May 23 and Monday, May 26 due to the Memorial Holiday.<\/p>\n
The invitations for Donuts for Dad went home on Friday. \u00a0Please mark down Friday, June 6th at 9:00 a.m. \u00a0In the past years, it has lasted until 10:15 a.m. \u00a0We really need every child to have someone come for them. \u00a0If a dad cannot come, please pass the invitation to a grandpa, uncle or family friend. \u00a0Please email me if there is a concern.<\/p>\n
Lindbergh’s Fun Fair will be held on Friday, June 6th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. \u00a0If you haven’t attend this event before, you won’t want your family to miss it. Volunteers are still needed. \u00a0Sign up on the PTA bulletin board or at https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/lindberghfunfair.<\/p>\n
