{"id":624,"date":"2014-04-13T18:53:59","date_gmt":"2014-04-13T22:53:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/?p=624"},"modified":"2014-04-13T18:55:02","modified_gmt":"2014-04-13T22:55:02","slug":"week-of-april-14-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/2014\/04\/13\/week-of-april-14-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of April 14, 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Families,<\/p>\n<p>I hope you are enjoying the beautiful weekend! \u00a0Here are some things you need to know for the upcoming week:<\/p>\n<p>Letter Study: \u00a0we are working the letters E and e this week. \u00a0Letter books are due on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Spelling words: \u00a0we will study the &#8220;op&#8221; words. \u00a0This week&#8217;s spelling words are hop, pop, top and stop. \u00a0Your child will not be getting their own individual words this week. Your child&#8217;s spelling test will be on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Animal Reports: \u00a0this week our class will be researching an animal, writing a circle map with the facts they found on the animal and then writing an animal report. \u00a0This will be done during Daily 5 and Writer&#8217;s Workshop time. \u00a0Therefore, your child will not be getting new books for their book bags this week. \u00a0Don&#8217;t worry, we will still be doing <strong>plenty<\/strong> of reading and writing.<\/p>\n<p>Mad Science will not take place on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. \u00a0I have a conflict with our schedule at that time. \u00a0However, I have a very cool experiment planned for our study of Living Things Vs. Non-Living Things, just not sure when I can squeeze it in this week. \u00a0However, I will post plenty of pictures when we do it. \u00a0It should be very interesting! \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Thursday is Pajama Day at Lindbergh! \u00a0It is a fundraiser for our PBIS rewards and materials. \u00a0If your child is interested in wearing his\/her pajamas, please bring in a dollar to help with the fundraiser. \u00a0Thanks!<\/p>\n<p>Spring Break: \u00a0No school from April 18-25th. \u00a0School resumes on April 28th!<\/p>\n<p>Important Dates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thursday, May 1st Kindergarten Concert at 6:30 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Friday, May 9th Muffins for Moms at 2:00 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday, May 14th U of M- Dearborn Pond Study Field Trip<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That&#8217;s all for now!<\/p>\n<p>Ms.Wright<\/p>\n<p>PS \u00a0If anyone has a color printer and would be willing to print some animal pictures for our animal reports, please let me know! \u00a0Thanks!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Families, I hope you are enjoying the beautiful weekend! \u00a0Here are some things you need to know for the upcoming week: Letter Study: \u00a0we are working the letters E and e this week. \u00a0Letter books are due on Thursday.
