Here is what you need to know for the week ahead in our classroom:<\/p>\n

Leader in Me Habit 5:<\/strong>\u00a0 We will\u00a0 continue to study\u00a0 Habit 5.\u00a0 \u00a0 Please practice this habit at home with your child.<\/p>\n

Poem of the Week:<\/strong>\u00a0Valentine’s Day Song<\/p>\n

Monday:<\/strong>\u00a0 Your child will be taking their spelling test on the “an” words today.\u00a0 Return Nightly Literacy Homework!\u00a0 Long U\/ spelling practice homework due today. Wear gym shoes and clothes for art.<\/p>\n

Tuesday:<\/strong>\u00a0 Return library books.\u00a0 \u00a0Music with Mrs. Baloga.\u00a0 Our students have been busy rehearsing for the Kindergarten Music Concert that will take place on Thursday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m.\u00a0<\/strong> Please mark your calendar, you won’t want to miss it!<\/p>\n

Wednesday:<\/strong>\u00a0 Happy Valentine’s Day!\u00a0 We will be having our party at 1:00-1:45.\u00a0 If you are interested in helping us during the party, please email me or leave a comment below.\u00a0 Thanks to everyone who volunteered to send in items for the party(see below for complete list).\u00a0 We will check out a new library book today.<\/p>\n

Thursday:<\/strong>\u00a0 We will have music with Mrs. Baloga.<\/p>\n

Friday:<\/strong>\u00a0Happy 100rh Day of School!\u00a0 Your child is welcome to dress up as a 100th year old person!\u00a0 We will have computer lab and gym today.\u00a0 Popcorn Friday- 25 cents a bag\/ limit 4<\/p>\n

  • Marichino cherries- enough for 23 students-Sophia<\/li>\n
  • 1 can of whipped cream–Mohamad<\/li>\n
  • 1 gallon of vanilla ice cream–Amirah<\/li>\n
  • 23 Valentine treats (your choice: \u00a0cookies, cupcakes, etc.)–Amirah<\/li>\n
  • large bag of red Twizzlers ( long twists to be used like a straw)-Jamil<\/li>\n
  • box of spoons–Jacob<\/li>\n
  • 23 red large plastic cups (Solo cups)-Jacob<\/li>\n
  • bag of conversation hearts (small hearts)–\u00a0 Ava<\/li>\n
  • 23 snack sized Valentine bags of M&M’s (used for a graphing activity)-\u00a0 Henry<\/li>\n
  • 23 white paper bags with handles (used as mailboxes for valentines)-Julia<\/li>\n
  • foam Valentine stickers used to decorate bags ( enough for 23 students)–Mia<\/li>\n
  • Chips-2 big bags–Hussein<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
