I hope you enjoyed the warmer weekend!\u00a0 Here is what you need to know for this week in our kindergarten classroom:<\/p>\n
Weekly Homework:\u00a0 Your child will receive two activity sheets in their red folder today and will need have both completed by Friday.\u00a0 This week’s focus will be on the “long i” sound.<\/p>\n

Assessments: I am still working on our assessments this week.\u00a0 I am finishing up the social studies and\u00a0 math assessments.\u00a0 Since these assessments are administered individually, they can be quite time consuming.\u00a0 Today I collected all the books from your child’s book bag.\u00a0 I will be switching the students’ reading groups to match their new reading goals.\u00a0 I will start meeting new groups on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Science:\u00a0 These kindergarten weather watchers are thoroughly enjoying our Weather unit.\u00a0 Whenever possible talk about the weather with your child daily.<\/p>\n
Social Studies:\u00a0 The kindergarten Timeline project is due on\u00a0Thursday, January 25th<\/strong>.\u00a0 This project was modeled at school so your child should be able to show you what needs to be done.\u00a0 We are proud to hang up these timelines in our hallway!<\/p>\n Field Trip Update:\u00a0 Field trip permission slips were due today.\u00a0 Thanks to everyone who volunteered to be a chaperone.\u00a0 There will be plenty of room on the bus for chaperones too!<\/p>\n Tuesday:\u00a0 \u00a0Return Nightly Literacy Homework!\u00a0 Return\u00a0 your library book.\u00a0 We will have music with Mrs. Baloga.<\/p>\n Wednesday:\u00a0 Field trip today.\u00a0 We will be boarding the bus at 9:00 a.m.\u00a0 Please make sure that your child brings a bag lunch with a drink, gym shoes and clothes appropriate for rock climbing.\u00a0 We will return to Lindbergh by 2:30 a.m.\u00a0 We will be taking every chaperone who signed up to help on this trip.\u00a0 Please arrive by 9:00 a.m. and make sure to sign in at the office before coming to our classroom.\u00a0 We will try to go to the Media Center to check out a library book upon our arrival from the field trip.<\/p>\n Thursday:\u00a0 We will have music today.<\/p>\n Friday:\u00a0 “Long i” homework is due!\u00a0 Dismissal time is at 11:45 a.m.<\/p>\n Enjoy the week!<\/p>\n Ms. Wright<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Dear Families, I hope you enjoyed the warmer weekend!\u00a0 Here is what you need to know for this week in our kindergarten classroom: Weekly Homework:\u00a0 Your child will receive two activity sheets in their red folder today and will need have both completed by Friday.\u00a0 This week’s focus will be on the “long i” sound.
