I hope you stayed warm over the long weekend!\u00a0 Here is what you need to know for this week in our kindergarten classroom:<\/p>\n
Weekly Homework:\u00a0 Your child will receive two activity sheets in their red folder today and will need have both completed by Friday.\u00a0 This week’s focus will be on the “long e” sound.<\/p>\n
Words of the Week:\u00a0 little\u00a0 \u00a0his<\/p>\n
Poem of the Week:\u00a0 A Chubby Little Snowman<\/p>\n
Assessments:\u00a0 Our class did a wonderful job on the NWEA tests last week.\u00a0 We have several students who need to make up their tests.\u00a0 I will be sending home your child’s results with their report card at the end of the card marking.\u00a0 We are definitely making progress and getting closer to our end of the year goals!<\/p>\n
Science:\u00a0 These kindergarten weather watchers are thoroughly enjoying our Weather unit.\u00a0 Whenever possible talk about the weather with your child daily.<\/p>\n
Social Studies:\u00a0 We started our personal history discussion of timelines last week.\u00a0 \u00a0The timeline project was sent home last week and will be due on Thursday, January 25th<\/strong>.\u00a0 This project was modeled at school so your child should be able to show you what needs to be done.\u00a0 This kindergarten project is always a favorite!<\/p>\n Field Trip Update:\u00a0 We have rescheduled our Kroger\/Lifetime field trip for Wednesday, January 24th.\u00a0<\/strong> If you are interested in being a chaperone, please email me or leave a comment below.\u00a0 Fingers crossed for good traveling weather.\u00a0 Please send in your permission slips by Monday, January 22.<\/p>\n Tuesday:\u00a0 \u00a0Return Nightly Literacy Homework!\u00a0 Return\u00a0 your library book.\u00a0 We will have music with Mrs. Baloga.<\/p>\n Wednesday:\u00a0 Late Start today.\u00a0 The arrival time is 9:35 a.m. We will check out a new library book today.<\/p>\n Thursday:\u00a0 We will have music today.<\/p>\n Friday:\u00a0 “Long E” homework is due!
