Daily 5: \u00a0Each morning in our kindergarten class, the students are engaged in a variety of literacy activities. \u00a0One important component of Daily 5 is called Read to Self. \u00a0Here is the I-chart we made together:<\/p>\n
The kindergartners were able to follow the Read to Self expectations for 14 minutes!!!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n What are we doing in the other subject areas?<\/p>\n Math: \u00a0We are working on developing Number Sense, with a special focus of numbers 1-5.<\/p>\n Science: \u00a0What is a Scientist? \u00a0Learning about our 5 Senses.<\/p>\n Social Studies: We are working on How Do I Get Along with Others?<\/p>\n Writing: \u00a0We are working on personal narrative writing during Writer’s Workshop. \u00a0The focus is establishing a good writing routine.<\/p>\n Leader in Me: \u00a0Habit 1-Be Proactive– This habit means that you are in charge of yourself!<\/p>\n But most importantly, we are working on procedures, procedures, procedures! \u00a0In kindergarten, we go slow to go fast!<\/p>\n Until next time…<\/p>\n Ms. Wright<\/p>\n PS \u00a0The office wanted me to pass out the information that if you need to write a check, please make it out to Dearborn Public Schools and not Lindbergh Elementary. \u00a0Thank you!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Dear Families, I hope you are enjoyed this beautiful weekend with your family! \u00a0Here is what you need to know for this week in our kindergarten class.
