<\/a><\/p>\nHere is what you need to know for this week:<\/p>\n
Words of the week: in my<\/p>\n
Poetry: Gingerbread<\/p>\n
Reading: We will be reading different versions of the Gingerbread Man so we can practice comparing, contrasting and retelling the stories. These are important strategies for good readers to master.<\/p>\n
Writing: We will be writing opinions about the Gingerbread man and boy.<\/p>\n
Math: We are completing Unit 3 this week. All of our math workshop stations will involve the gingerbread man and counting strategies.<\/p>\n
Science: We will be finishing our unit on pushes and pulls.<\/p>\n
Social Studies: The students will orally be given a 10 question district assessment on needs\/wants and goods\/services. But no worries, the students will do great on this assessment since we have covered all the concepts in class and during our field trip.<\/p>\n
Tuesday: Your child will need to return their library book, book bag, and poetry journal today. We will go to music with Mrs. Baloga. We will not be checking out books due to the Santa Shop in the Media Center.<\/p>\n
Thursday: We will go to music with Mrs.Baloga.<\/p>\n
Friday: Popcorn Friday! We will go to the computer lab with Mrs. Ackerman and gym with Mr. Murua.<\/p>\n
Santa Shop: Information and envelopes were placed in your child’s red folder on Friday. Our class will be shopping either Wednesday or Thursday. I will post tomorrow when I know for sure!<\/p>\n
