{"id":371,"date":"2014-02-04T00:21:57","date_gmt":"2014-02-04T05:21:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/?p=371"},"modified":"2014-02-04T00:21:57","modified_gmt":"2014-02-04T05:21:57","slug":"week-of-february-3-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/2014\/02\/04\/week-of-february-3-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of February 3, 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Howdy Families,<\/p>\n<p>Here is a picture of the 15 students who brought back their Nightly Reading Homework today! \u00a0Look at all those smiling faces. \u00a0If your child didn&#8217;t, they may turn it in on Tuesday. \u00a0The Book-it coupons will be sent home on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/547\/2014\/02\/Picture.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-375\" alt=\"Picture\" src=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/547\/2014\/02\/Picture-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/547\/2014\/02\/Picture-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/547\/2014\/02\/Picture-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These students also received a reading charm for all of their great reading. \u00a0Please help your child to keep the necklace and charms in a special place to avoid getting lost. \u00a0If your child lost their necklace, I can order a few more, they can be replaced for 50 cents a piece.<\/p>\n<p>Here is what you need to know for this week:<\/p>\n<p>Letter of the Week: \u00a0D d \u00a0 Letter books were sent home today. \u00a0Due Friday!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Word Family of the Week: \u00a0the &#8220;ap&#8221; family \u00a0 \u00a0Your child&#8217;s spelling words are: cap, map, nap and tap. \u00a0They will practice these words in class but should also practice them at home. \u00a0Students will be tested on these words and a &#8220;cold&#8221; word from the &#8220;ap&#8221; family. \u00a0Spelling test will be on Friday. \u00a0Please make sure to have your child practice these words in a mixed up order. \u00a0Many students had difficulty with this during last Friday&#8217;s spelling test.<\/li>\n<li>Book Fair- today our class previewed the books at the Book Fair. \u00a0A &#8220;wish-list&#8221; was sent home in his\/her red folder. \u00a0If you would like your child to purchase books, please make sure to put their money in an envelope along with the wish list in their red folder. \u00a0If you prefer to take your child yourself, the book fair is open until 4:00 o&#8217;clock for the next few days. \u00a0Thanks for supporting Lindbergh!<\/li>\n<li>Mad Science at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. \u00a0If you are interested in helping us, please let me know.<\/li>\n<li>Valentine&#8217;s Day is just around the corner. \u00a0I will send home a class list in the next several days in case your child would like to pass out valentines to the class. \u00a0Our party will be on Friday, February 14th. \u00a0As soon as I have more details, I will pass them on to you.<\/li>\n<li>Report cards were sent home today. \u00a0I did staple a progress report to it, giving you some important details about your child&#8217;s learning. \u00a0The report card is yours to keep!<\/li>\n<li>Please have your child work on Math Homelinks 5.2 and 5.4 this week. \u00a0They are due on Monday, February 10th.<\/li>\n<li>If you are interested in helping with Lindbergh&#8217;s Science Fair Boot Camp, I am planning to have a quick meeting after school on Friday, February 7th in our classroom.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I am sure there is probably more, but that&#8217;s all for now!<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Wright<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Howdy Families, Here is a picture of the 15 students who brought back their Nightly Reading Homework today! \u00a0Look at all those smiling faces. \u00a0If your child didn&#8217;t, they may turn it in on Tuesday. \u00a0The Book-it coupons will be sent home on Tuesday.
