{"id":363,"date":"2014-01-13T15:20:08","date_gmt":"2014-01-13T20:20:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/?p=363"},"modified":"2014-01-13T15:20:08","modified_gmt":"2014-01-13T20:20:08","slug":"week-of-january-13-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/2014\/01\/13\/week-of-january-13-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of January 13, 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Families,<\/p>\n<p>Hope you had a wonderful weekend. \u00a0Here is what you need to know for this week:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Letter Study: \u00a0G \u00a0g \u00a0Letter books will be sent home today and need to be returned by Friday.<\/li>\n<li>Words of the Week: \u00a0she \u00a0 said<\/li>\n<li>Testing\/assessments: \u00a0this week I will be finishing up \u00a0assessing your child in Social Studies. \u00a0I will be giving your child the District Writing Prompt, giving the Development Reading Assessment (DRA), as well as the DRA Word Analysis. \u00a0Therefore, I will not be seeing your child in his\/her strategy groups and will not be putting new books in their book bag. \u00a0If you are looking for books at your child&#8217;s level, please try out Raz-kids on-line. \u00a0I have receive many positive comments about it. \u00a0If you need any help, feel free to email me. \u00a0Also, if you have the Raz-Kids app on your I-Pad, there is an update which has worked out some of the bugs.<\/li>\n<li>Social Studies Project: \u00a0Today I am sending home a Time Line Project. \u00a0It is due on Thursday, January 23rd. \u00a0However, as soon as it is completed, please return it to school so your child can share with the class. \u00a0I showed an example today in class, so your child should have a good idea of what needs to be done. \u00a0Any questions, please feel free to email me.<\/li>\n<li>Math Homelinks 4.2, 4.5 and 4.13 need to be completed and returned by Tuesday, January 21st. \u00a0Note: \u00a0For Homelink 4.2, after you play the game Top-It, have your child write how many games they play at home.<\/li>\n<li>Dry Clothes- please make sure that your child has a complete extra set of clothes in his\/her locker, including socks. \u00a0Things happen in Kindergarten and we need to be prepared! \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n<li>Snowpants\/Boots: We go outside for lunch recess almost everyday unless it is too cold. \u00a0Please make sure that your child comes to school with everything they need. \u00a0If they wear boots, please make sure they pack a pair of shoes! \u00a0Also, labeling your child&#8217;s clothes is a great idea. \u00a0Black snowpants are a pretty popular item around here and are not always easy to identify the owner. \u00a0Thanks for your help!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Have a great week!<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Wright<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Families, Hope you had a wonderful weekend. \u00a0Here is what you need to know for this week: Letter Study: \u00a0G \u00a0g \u00a0Letter books will be sent home today and need to be returned by Friday.
