{"id":320,"date":"2013-12-10T14:29:59","date_gmt":"2013-12-10T19:29:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/?p=320"},"modified":"2013-12-10T14:29:59","modified_gmt":"2013-12-10T19:29:59","slug":"week-of-december-9-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/2013\/12\/10\/week-of-december-9-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of December 9, 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Families,<\/p>\n<p>I am sorry that this post is late. \u00a0I couldn&#8217;t get on the blog site yesterday. \u00a0Hope all is well with you. \u00a0Here is \u00a0what is happening in our classroom this week:<\/p>\n<p>Letters of the Week: \u00a0I \u00a0 i<\/p>\n<p>Words of the Week: \u00a0 in \u00a0 have<\/p>\n<p>Science Experiment: \u00a0Ping Pong Blow. \u00a0This went home yesterday and is due on Monday, December 16th. \u00a0Good luck!<\/p>\n<p>Math Homelinks 3.12 and 3.15 are due by Monday, December 16th.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow is Late Start! \u00a0Please arrive at 9:35 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Over the next several days, I will be individually administering a District Math Assessment. to each child in our class. \u00a0I started administering them after lunch today and so far every student has found it very easy!<\/p>\n<p>In Social Studies, we are studying Needs and Wants. \u00a0Please feel free to ask your child if something is a need or a want. \u00a0This is a great time of the year to be having a conversation about Needs and Wants. \u00a0I know my younger son often gets these two concepts confused! \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>In Science, we are continuing our study of Pushes and Pulls.\u00a0Last week the students made some great ramps out of small wooden blocks and had lots of fun testing them out. \u00a0On Wednesday we will be making our own catapults. \u00a0I can&#8217;t wait to see what we launch!
