Today we went to the Media Center so your child could\u00a0check out a library book. \u00a0\u00a0Library books will need to be returned every Monday<\/strong> so we are ready for our Tuesday check-out. \u00a0Here is a\u00a0helpful tip that works well at our house. \u00a0After\u00a0my sons are finished reading their library books, they place it right back\u00a0their backpack. If your house is like ours, we have a ton of books and it keeps the library book\u00a0separate from our own book collection.<\/p>\nBook Bag Log: \u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Inside each book bag, there is a sheet for you to sign. \u00a0You don’t need to sign the sheet every night (even if your child practices the book every night) just on the line next to the title. However, when your child practices re-reading the book, please make sure that it is recorded as\u00a0a Nightly Literacy Activity. As the students become more independent during Daily 5, I will see your child more often.<\/p>\nMad Science<\/strong>: \u00a0Thanks to the volunteers for this week’s Mad Science on Wednesday \u00a0(starting at 1:00 p.m.) and Thursday (starting at 1:00 p.m). \u00a0We could still use more help on Thursday if you are available!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Playdough Needed:\u00a0<\/strong>We could use a new batch of playdough for our classroom since ours is getting very sticky. \u00a0If you are interested in making some for our class, let me know. \u00a0I have an easy playdough recipe if needed.<\/p>\nKudos to:<\/p>\n
