Hello Families,<\/p>\n

I hope you had a restful Thanksgiving break! \u00a0Although I enjoyed the break, it feels great to be back. \u00a0In fact, we had a “green day ” today! \u00a0Everyone stayed on green. \u00a0Here is a picture of the students who read every day in the month of November and brought in their Monthly Reading Log! \u00a0Last month, we had a special incentive to read each night! \u00a0Billy’s mom donated 25 beanie babies to our classroom. \u00a0Since not many students brought back the Monthly reading calendar in October, I thought this might just be the incentive our kindergartners needed. \u00a0It worked! \u00a0Look at all of those smiling faces!<\/p>\n

Thank you to the Schook family! \u00a0Plus, the Book-It pizza coupons will be sent home tomorrow. \u00a0Double Bonus!<\/p>\n

The December Monthly Reading Homework went home today in your child’s red folder. \u00a0Make this a daily habit at home. \u00a0Please be honest about marking the calendar only when there really is reading going on at your house.During this time, make sure that your child reads to you as well as you are reading to them. \u00a0Five and six year old children are very honest and will tell me whether or not they have done their reading. \u00a0Important Lesson: \u00a0there are no secrets in kindergarten!!:)<\/p>\n

Letter of the Week: \u00a0L \u00a0l \u00a0 -letter books went home today and need to be returned by Friday<\/p>\n

Words of the Week: \u00a0on \u00a0 here- \u00a0these words were placed on your child’s ring of cards today<\/p>\n

Math Homelink 3.7 has been assigned this week and is due next Monday!<\/p>\n

Science for the Week: \u00a0a worksheet went home about pushes and pulls today. \u00a0Please make sure that it is completed and returned by Monday, December 9th. \u00a0Extra Credit: \u00a0I would like to make a Push and Pull bulletin board in our classroom. \u00a0I am looking for real photographs of your child demonstrating a push or pull. \u00a0Anything you could do, I would really appreciate!<\/p>\n

Here is a picture taken during Science where we raced ping pong balls against marbles on our homemade “noodle” ramp!<\/p>\n

Also, on the Ms. Wright’s calendar that was sent home today, it stated that the Late Start is on Wednesday, December 18th. \u00a0It is really on Wednesday, December 11th. Sorry for the confusion!<\/p>\n
