{"id":2741,"date":"2016-05-20T14:09:51","date_gmt":"2016-05-20T18:09:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/?p=2741"},"modified":"2016-05-20T14:10:06","modified_gmt":"2016-05-20T18:10:06","slug":"week-of-may-23-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/2016\/05\/20\/week-of-may-23-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of May 23, 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Families,<\/p>\n<p>Here is what you need to know for this week in kindergarten:<\/p>\n<p>Letter books: \u00a0fl blend- \u00a0Due on Thursday, May 26!<\/p>\n<p>New Spelling words: \u00a0cub rub sub tub + mystery &#8220;ub&#8221; words + individual words<\/p>\n<p>Monday:\u00a0<strong>Please return your spelling notebook today! \u00a0<\/strong>Spelling test on: get \u00a0 let \u00a0met \u00a0pet \u00a0Wear gym shoes. \u00a0Return your library book. \u00a0We will go to art with Mrs. Doman. \u00a0Letter books will be sent home.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday: \u00a0We will go to music and the Media Center. \u00a0This will be the last check-out this year.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday: \u00a0We will be making a special project for Donuts for Dads and could use some volunteers to help us at 1:00 p.m. \u00a0No Dads allowed! \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Thursday: \u00a0Letter books are due. \u00a0We will go to music with Mrs. Baloga.<\/p>\n<p>Friday\/ Monday: \u00a0No School!<\/p>\n<p>A Few Reminders:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Field trip permission slip and money- due on May 26th<\/li>\n<li>Donuts for Dad RSVP- due by Friday, June 3rd.<\/li>\n<li>Leader in Me Poster Assignment- This assignment was already sent home but thought you might need the directions again. \u00a0Thanks to Ruby for Putting First Things First and already completing it!:)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are preparing for our Lindbergh School Leadership day on June 2, 2016. \u00a0\u00a0We are asking that each family choose one of the 7 habits and create a <strong>locker poster<\/strong> with words and pictures describing how that habit impacts your family. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are providing the paper for your family. \u00a0Please make sure that your poster is created portrait not landscape (vertical not horizontal). \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each Lindbergh family \u00a0is being asked to create one poster per Lindbergh student in the family. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If you have more than 1 Lindbergh student in your family, the family may focus on one habit or the family can use a different \u00a0habit on each child\u2019s poster to display. \u00a0For example, if you have 3 children at Lindbergh that means \u00a03 posters will be turned in with a habit of choice on it. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Completed posters are due Tues May 31, 2016. \u00a0This is your chance to show the creativity of your family. \u00a0Please don\u2019t hesitate to use different kinds of materials, glitter, colorful markers, stickers and more. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here is a list of Habits for you to choose from<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be Proactive<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Begin with the End in Mind<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Put First Things First<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Think Win-Win<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seek First to Understand then to Be Understood<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Synergize<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sharpen the Saw<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>See you on Tuesday!<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Wright<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Families, Here is what you need to know for this week in kindergarten: Letter books: \u00a0fl blend- \u00a0Due on Thursday, May 26!
