{"id":254,"date":"2013-11-03T18:02:18","date_gmt":"2013-11-03T23:02:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/?p=254"},"modified":"2013-11-03T18:02:18","modified_gmt":"2013-11-03T23:02:18","slug":"week-of-november-4-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/2013\/11\/03\/week-of-november-4-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of November 4, 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Families,<\/p>\n<p>Here is a glimpse of \u00a0what will be happening this week in our kindergarten class:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Letter of the Week: \u00a0F \u00a0f \u00a0 Letter books will be sent home on Monday and will need to be returned by Friday.<\/li>\n<li>Words of the Week: \u00a0the \u00a0up \u00a0 \u00a0 These \u00a0words will be added to your child&#8217;s ring of cards in their book bag. \u00a0Please practice at home!<\/li>\n<li>Math Homelink 2.13 needs to be completed and returned to school by Monday, November 11th. \u00a0This homelink can be found in your child&#8217;s Everyday Math Homelink Book that was sent home before the break. \u00a0Please carefully rip out, complete and return. \u00a0Make sure that your child writes his.her name at the top of the Homelink paper.<\/li>\n<li>A Sink or Float Science Experiment \u00a0will be sent home on Monday. \u00a0The completed experiment needs to be returned to school on Monday, November 11th.<\/li>\n<li>There will be no school on Tuesday, November 6th, 2013. \u00a0Teachers will be attending Professional Development sessions. \u00a0Don&#8217;t forget to vote!<\/li>\n<li>There will be a Mad Science Experiment on Wednesday, November 6th at 1:00 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>On Friday, November 8th, dismissal will be at 11:45 a.m. \u00a0This is due to the end of the card marking.<\/li>\n<li>On Saturday, November 9th, please support Lindbergh&#8217;s PTA and our classroom by attending the Holiday Boutique!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note: \u00a0Our classroom is participating in Book-It. \u00a0This is a partnership with Pizza Hut to encourage students to make reading a daily habit at home. \u00a0I used the Nightly Reading Record papers that were returned on Friday. \u00a0Eleven students in our class received a coupon to get a free personal pan pizza. \u00a0Congratulations!! \u00a0Please make reading a daily habit in your home and record it on November&#8217;s Nightly Reading Record.<\/p>\n<p>One last thing: \u00a0I am noticing a decline in homework being turned in on-time. \u00a0This includes letter books, science experiments and math Homelinks. \u00a0I realize that families are busy. \u00a0However, I try to give you as much notice so your child has plenty of time to complete them. \u00a0It is very rare that I give short notice (due the next day) for homework. \u00a0Therefore, your child will be moving his\/her clip if homework is not returned on time. \u00a0Thank you in advance for helping your child to learn responsibility!<\/p>\n<p>Have a great week!<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Wright<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Families, Here is a glimpse of \u00a0what will be happening this week in our kindergarten class: Letter of the Week: \u00a0F \u00a0f \u00a0 Letter books will be sent home on Monday and will need to be returned by Friday.
