{"id":2196,"date":"2015-11-29T17:45:44","date_gmt":"2015-11-29T22:45:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/?p=2196"},"modified":"2015-11-29T17:45:44","modified_gmt":"2015-11-29T22:45:44","slug":"week-of-november-30th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/2015\/11\/29\/week-of-november-30th\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of November 30th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Families,<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/547\/2015\/11\/download1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2198\" src=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/547\/2015\/11\/download1.png\" alt=\"download\" width=\"285\" height=\"177\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>If you haven&#8217;t already done so, please return field trip money, permission slips and waivers as soon as possible!!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Letters of the Week: \u00a0P p<\/p>\n<p>Words of the Week: \u00a0I \u00a0like \u00a0 mom \u00a0 \u00a0dad<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday: \u00a0Return library books! \u00a0Wear gym shoes! \u00a0We will continue to\u00a0study the letters P and p. \u00a0Letter books are due\u00a0Friday, December 4th.<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday: \u00a0<strong>Please return Nightly Reading Homework today!!<\/strong> \u00a0Have your child wear their reading charm necklaces\/bracelets today for their next charm. \u00a0We will go to music and check out new library books from the Media Center.<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday: \u00a0We will have a visit from a dietitian to help with our Project Based Learning Unit called Snack Attack! \u00a0Thanks to Ruby&#8217;s Aunt Judy for coming! \u00a0<strong>Our PBIS Reward is today! \u00a0Remember to bring a game to play during the Reward.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Thursday: \u00a0Field trip to Kroger and Lifetime today. \u00a0Thanks to our chaperones: \u00a0Ali&#8217;s mom, Rokaya&#8217;s mom, Ben&#8217;s dad, Mohamad&#8217;s mom, Jack&#8217;s mom and Ruby&#8217;s mom for coming with us!<\/li>\n<li>Friday: \u00a0Wear gym shoes. \u00a0We will go to the Computer Lab today. \u00a0Letter books are due!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A few other things to note:<\/p>\n<p>W.I.G \u00a0(Wildly Important Goal) \u00a0After conferences, I had many enthusiastic students telling me how they were practicing\u00a0for our MATH W.I.G., which is to count up to 100. \u00a0If your child feels prepared, have them tell me and I will listen to them count during snack time.<\/p>\n<p>Habit 7: \u00a0Sharpen the Saw- \u00a0no, we are not having students use sharp blades in class. \u00a0Sharpening the saw means to have balance in your life. \u00a0Everyone needs to take time to do things that are good for your mind, body and soul. \u00a0That includes you too parents! \u00a0Have the students learn from your example. \u00a0I try to show the students that I live the Habits too.<\/p>\n<p>Here are just some things we will be working in class over the next few weeks:<\/p>\n<p>Reading: \u00a0We are working on retelling stories as well as practicing sounds.<\/p>\n<p>Math: \u00a0We are practicing answering &#8220;how many?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Social Studies: \u00a0We are studying needs and wants\/ goods and services.<\/p>\n<p>Science: \u00a0We are studying pushes and pulls.<\/p>\n<p>Writing: \u00a0We will begin\u00a0opinion writing.<\/p>\n<p>Leader in Me: \u00a0We will live habits 1-7.<\/p>\n<p>Have a great week!<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Wright<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Families, If you haven&#8217;t already done so, please return field trip money, permission slips and waivers as soon as possible!!
