Dear Families,<\/p>\n

We had another busy day in Room 114. \u00a0The kindergartners took their first NWEA test this afternoon. \u00a0They really did a great job. \u00a0The test had 58 questions on it. \u00a0Unfortunately, we were taking our test during the time we were scheduled to select new library books, so we did not check out new books.<\/p>\n

Ask your child about the blue retelling strip that came home today in their red folder. Have them retell the story I Was So Mad by Mercer Mayer.<\/p>\n

Yesterday was Grace and Madilyn’s birthday! \u00a0Happy birthday girls!<\/p>\n

Each morning we have a Chit Chat Message on our board. \u00a0Here are the students getting\u00a0with\u00a0their chit chat buddies. \u00a0Take a look!<\/p>\n

Here are some pictures taken during Read to Self. \u00a0We read for 10 minutes today!! \u00a0Great job kindergartners!<\/p>\n

We had several students share their letter books today. \u00a0Thanks to Martin and Ruby for a job well done. \u00a0Here\u00a0are some\u00a0pictures in case you are a visual learner. \u00a0Please do not have your child draw the pictures themselves. \u00a0We really want to have them to stretch their thinking. \u00a0Letter books are due on Friday.\u00a0However, your child can turn it in before, if it is completed.<\/p>\n

Don’t forget that Picture Day is Thursday, October 1st. \u00a0Order forms were sent home yesterday. \u00a0Let me know if you need one.<\/p>\n
