{"id":1971,"date":"2015-09-27T21:22:08","date_gmt":"2015-09-28T01:22:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/?p=1971"},"modified":"2015-09-27T21:24:07","modified_gmt":"2015-09-28T01:24:07","slug":"week-of-september-28-2015-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/2015\/09\/27\/week-of-september-28-2015-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of September 28, 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Families,<\/p>\n<p>I hope you had a wonderful break from school. \u00a0We have a fun-filled, jammed pack week ahead. \u00a0Here is what you need to know:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday: \u00a0<strong>Please make sure your child wears gym shoes today<\/strong>. \u00a0We will also go to art today. \u00a0Field Trip permission slips will be sent home today. \u00a0Your child&#8217;s letter book will be sent home today in their red Take Home Folder. \u00a0This week we will be studying the Letter S. \u00a0Please help your child to find 5 pictures that start with the letter S. \u00a0You may use magazines, computer clipart, photographs, etc. \u00a0The letter book will be due this Friday. \u00a0The complete directions are located on the S page in the letter book. \u00a0Have fun and good luck!<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday: \u00a0<strong>Return library books today.<\/strong> \u00a0We will go to music today with Mrs. Baloga today.<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday: \u00a0Nightly Reading homework\u00a0will be sent home today. \u00a0Please make sure that at least 10 minutes of reading occur each day at your house. \u00a0It might be you reading to your child or your child reading to you. \u00a0Ask your child about the 3 ways to read a book! \u00a0Each night reading occurs, your child will color a pumpkin on the Nightly Reading sheet. \u00a0On Monday, November 2, the sheet will need to be signed by you and returned to school.<\/li>\n<li>Thursday: \u00a0<strong>Picture Day! \u00a0Wear your smile!<\/strong> \u00a0I haven&#8217;t seen any order forms yet, but be sure to look for them in your child&#8217;s red folder.<\/li>\n<li>Friday: \u00a0<strong>Please make sure your child wears gym shoes today<\/strong>. \u00a0We will go to the computer lab today. \u00a0Letter books need to be returned today. \u00a0Bingo for Books will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>This week our class will be taking the NWEA tests in the computer lab. \u00a0I haven&#8217;t seen the updated schedule yet so I am not sure exactly what day but it will be sometime this week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Important Dates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tuesday, October 6th we will need several volunteers to help us with Mad Science at 2:15 p.m. \u00a0If you are interested in helping us with the 5 Senses stations, please leave a comment below. \u00a0It will take about an hour. \u00a0I already\u00a0have one volunteer, thanks mom!
