{"id":1841,"date":"2015-09-11T19:57:45","date_gmt":"2015-09-11T23:57:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/?p=1841"},"modified":"2015-09-11T20:08:15","modified_gmt":"2015-09-12T00:08:15","slug":"week-of-september-14-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/2015\/09\/11\/week-of-september-14-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of September 14, 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Families,<\/p>\n<p>I hope you get a chance to relax this weekend after this busy week. \u00a0Here is what you need to know:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Homework is due! \u00a0Yes, some of the kindergartners having been begging Ms. Wright for homework this week so their wish is my command! \u00a0\ud83d\ude42 \u00a0We have been discussing the word &#8220;habit&#8221; since it ties in with Lindbergh being a\u00a0\u00a0Leader in Me school this year. \u00a0We will be discussing the &#8220;7 habits of happy kids!&#8221; all year so we figured we better know what a habit is. \u00a0Our \u00a0habit definition is something we do all the time without even thinking about it. \u00a0Your child will need to draw a picture about a habit they do\u00a0at home. \u00a0If parents could ask their child about\u00a0his\/her picture and write down what they say. \u00a0Afterwards, place the homework in their red folder. \u00a0Thanks! \u00a0Try to use the word &#8220;habit&#8221; with your child whenever you can.<\/li>\n<li>We will be previewing the Scholastic Book Fair sponsored by Lindbergh&#8217;s PTA. \u00a0Your child will make a &#8220;wish list&#8221;\u00a0which\u00a0will be sent\u00a0home. \u00a0If you want\u00a0to purchase books for your child, send the wish list along with the money in an envelope marked with your child&#8217;s name. \u00a0Place the envelope in your child&#8217;s red folder.<\/li>\n<li>We will be going to gym with Mr. Murua at 1:05-1:50 p.m. \u00a0Please make sure that your child wear proper gym shoes today.<\/li>\n<li>We will be going to art with Mrs. Doman at 1:52-2:37 p.m. \u00a0These are the actual times, in case you were wondering. \u00a0We are very precise here at Lindbergh. \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n<li>We will be eating lunch at school for the first time today. \u00a0Make sure that your child is aware\u00a0if they have \u00a0a packed lunch or are buying a lunch. \u00a0For the first few days, we will be helping the kindergartners with the routine of lunch, no worries! \u00a0Please pack a Nut-free, healthy snack to eat in our classroom.<\/li>\n<li>Bring in unframed 4 X 6 family photo if you haven&#8217;t already done so.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tuesday:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We will be going to music with Mrs. Baloga at 1:05-1:50 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>We will be starting our literacy model called Daily 5 today. \u00a0It really helps if child have some favorite books from home to place in their school book box. \u00a0Make sure your child&#8217;s name is marked on the cover of each\u00a0book.
