Hope you are having a restful weekend. \u00a0Here is what you need to know for this upcoming week:<\/p>\n

We are scheduled for Lindbergh’s Clean-Up Parade\u00a0on Thursday May 21st at 1:30 p.m. \u00a0For those of you who didn’t grow up in Dearborn, Clean-Up Parades have been a tradition since the 1950:s. \u00a0The streets around the school are closed off to traffic and the students parade to remind Dearborn residents to Keep Dearborn Clean! \u00a0 \u00a0Take a look at the pictures below to see if you recognize anyone in the clean-up parades from the 1970’s! \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

If your child would like to make a poster at home about Keeping Dearborn Clean that would be great. \u00a0Please make sure it is easy for them to carry through the parade route.<\/div>\n

The week of our clean-up parade is a great time\u00a0to have Spirit Week: \u00a0Here is what we are planning for this year’s Spirit Week:<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Monday<\/span><\/span> – Sport Day – wear your favorite team apparel<\/div>\n
Tuesday<\/span><\/span> – Crazy Hat Day<\/div>\n
Wednesday<\/span><\/span> – Backwards Day<\/div>\n
Thursday<\/span><\/span> – Lindbergh Pride Day – wear Lindbergh Shirts or Lindbergh red and comfortable shoes!!!<\/div>\n
Friday – sit back and enjoy your day off!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Monday: \u00a0Please make sure that your child return their Spelling Notebook and library book. \u00a0They will take their spelling test today and be given new spelling words ( unfortunately I left the list at school). \u00a0We will be studying the “cl”blend this week in our letter books. \u00a0We will have one of our favorite guest teachers today, Mrs. Miller, since I will be at my last Science Training meeting.<\/div>\n

Tuesday: \u00a0We will go to the Media Center, music and art today.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Wednesday: \u00a0We will go to music today.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Thursday: \u00a0Lindbergh’s clean-up parade at 1:30 p.m. \u00a0No Mad Science today. Please return letter books today.<\/div>\n

Friday: \u00a0No School<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Our upcoming field trip to the Ann Arbor Hands-on Science Museum\u00a0will take place on Thursday, May 28th. \u00a0If you would like to be a chaperone, please make sure that your background check has been approved. \u00a0The cost is $16.00. \u00a0The expensive cost of this trip is due to the bus costs. \u00a0Please send in your permission slip and money as soon as you can.<\/div>\n

Mark your calendar for Donuts for Dad! \u00a0This event will take place on Friday, June 5th at 9:00 a.m. \u00a0Invitations will be sent home this week.<\/div>\n
