{"id":1617,"date":"2015-04-19T14:50:54","date_gmt":"2015-04-19T18:50:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/?p=1617"},"modified":"2015-04-19T14:50:54","modified_gmt":"2015-04-19T18:50:54","slug":"week-of-april-20-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/2015\/04\/19\/week-of-april-20-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of April 20, 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Families,<\/p>\n<p>Here is what you need to know for this upcoming week:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Letter Books: \u00a0all the letters have been assigned and should have been completed by this point. \u00a0Since we have at least 7 more weeks and extra pages in our letter book, we will be studying the digraph &#8220;ch&#8221; this week. \u00a0Even though they are two letters, it makes one distinct sound. \u00a0Your child needs to find 5 pictures that have the &#8220;ch&#8221; digraph. \u00a0It may be placed anywhere in the word. \u00a0Examples are: \u00a0chips, \u00a0March or orchard. \u00a0Please make sure your child writes down all the sounds they hear in the word and circle the &#8220;ch&#8221; digraph in the word, noticing where it is placed in the word.<\/li>\n<li>Spelling words this week: \u00a0fit \u00a0bit \u00a0hit \u00a0sit<\/li>\n<li>Please make sure that your child returns their Spelling Notebook on Monday. \u00a0Each week several students seem to forget their spelling notebooks at home. \u00a0Our Spelling Helpers are here to help us on Mondays. \u00a0It really puts your child at a disadvantage if they are not prepared. \u00a0Thanks for your support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Monday: \u00a0Letter books are sent home. \u00a0Your child will take their spelling test. Please\u00a0have your child return their library books if they have one. \u00a0We never made it up to the Media Center last week to check out new books. Wear gym shoes<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday: \u00a0We will be rehearsing for our music concert. \u00a0We will be going up the Media Center. \u00a0We will go to Art. \u00a0Our kindergartners will start today on our District Writing Prompt.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday: \u00a0We will be rehearsing for our music concert. \u00a0We will continue on with our writing prompt.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday: \u00a0We will continue on with our writing prompt. \u00a0No Mad Science. \u00a0Kindergarten concert begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. \u00a0Please report to our classroom at 6:20 p.m. \u00a0We will line up your child in concert order while you may find a seat in the auditorium.<\/p>\n<p>Friday: \u00a0Return letterbooks.
