{"id":1492,"date":"2015-03-16T13:30:01","date_gmt":"2015-03-16T17:30:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/?p=1492"},"modified":"2015-03-16T13:30:01","modified_gmt":"2015-03-16T17:30:01","slug":"week-of-march-16-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/2015\/03\/16\/week-of-march-16-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of March 16, 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Families,<\/p>\n<p>Wow! \u00a0What a weekend! \u00a0Hope you had a chance to enjoy it with your family.<\/p>\n<p>Here is what you need to know for this week in our kindergarten class:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Letter Books: we are studying the letters X and x. \u00a0Since there is a difficult letter to find at the beginning of words, your child may find pictures of words that have the letter x somewhere in the word. \u00a0(Example: \u00a0six, \u00a0fox, box ) \u00a0We brainstormed many words that have the letter x in them this morning. \u00a0Good luck!<\/li>\n<li>Spelling words: \u00a0the &#8220;ag&#8221; words \u00a0 \u00a0bag \u00a0 rag \u00a0 tag \u00a0 hag \u00a0 Your child will also be given a cold word on next week&#8217;s test. \u00a0A cold word is a word that fits the pattern but isn&#8217;t on their spelling list. \u00a0Example: \u00a0lag \u00a0sag \u00a0gag \u00a0zag \u00a0 Please make sure that your child is practicing their words at home and completing the spelling activities.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure your child returns their library book either by Tuesday.<\/li>\n<li>On Wednesday, Mrs. Miller will be our guest teacher. \u00a0I will be out for Science Training.<\/li>\n<li>On Thursday, we will have Mad Science at 1:00 p.m. \u00a0Please join us if you can.<\/li>\n<li>On Friday, letter books are due.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This week I will be assessing the students individually in reading and math for report cards. \u00a0Unfortunately, I will not be meeting with my reading groups this week. \u00a0If your child needs additional reading materials, please go to razkids.com.<\/p>\n<p>Have a great week!<\/p>\n<p>M.
