Dear Families,<\/p>\n

During our investigation of Earth Materials, we conducted our first experiment called the “The Settling Test.” \u00a0We filled each jumbo sized test tube half way with a different\u00a0 earth material. \u00a0Next our kindergarten scientists used pipettes and filled the other half of the test tube with water. \u00a0Then, we shook the test tubes for several minutes. \u00a0Afterwards, we observed to see what happened. \u00a0I was surprised that many students took the term “settle down” and applied it to this experiment\u00a0wondering if the earth material would move\u00a0down to the bottom of the test tube. So far, the sand has settled the most. \u00a0However, we will observe again tomorrow morning and look for any other changes. \u00a0 Take a look!<\/p>\n
