{"id":1177,"date":"2014-12-07T21:41:06","date_gmt":"2014-12-08T02:41:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/?p=1177"},"modified":"2014-12-07T21:42:11","modified_gmt":"2014-12-08T02:42:11","slug":"week-of-december-8-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wrightt1\/2014\/12\/07\/week-of-december-8-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of December 8, 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Families,<\/p>\n<p>Here is what you need to know for our kindergarten class this week:<\/p>\n<p>Lunch choices for Monday are Ravioli ( chef&#8217;s choice) and grilled cheese!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday: \u00a0Letter books will be sent home today. \u00a0We will be studying the letters G and g. \u00a0Please return library books to school if your child hasn&#8217;t already done so. \u00a0We did not check out books last week since we were on our field trip during our check out time. \u00a0Wear gym shoes!<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday: \u00a0We will go to the Media Center, music and art today!<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday: \u00a0We will go to music today.<\/li>\n<li>Thursday: \u00a0Mad Science at 1:00 p.m. \u00a0If you are interested in helping us, please let me know! \u00a0Thanks!<\/li>\n<li>Friday: \u00a0Letter books need to be returned. \u00a0Wear gym shoes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PBIS:<\/p>\n<p>In order for your student to be invited to the PBIS Reward they must stay on green 80 percent of the month. \u00a0Since we have 15 school days in December, that means that they can&#8217;t move their clip more than 3 times. \u00a0Some students are already getting close. \u00a0Each morning, please remind your child\u00a0to follow our classroom guidelines to BE SAFE, BE RESPECTFUL and BE RESPONSIBLE! \u00a0Our December reward party is Game Day and will take place on Friday, December 19th. \u00a0More info will be sent home soon.<\/p>\n<p>Number Poems: \u00a0During conferences last month. several parents asked for the number poems we say in class to help while practicing writing numbers at home. \u00a0I thought every family might find them useful so look for them in your child&#8217;s red folder on Monday!<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s is what we will be studying this week in:<\/p>\n<p>READING: \u00a0Retelling the beginning, middle and end of a story.<\/p>\n<p>WRITING: \u00a0We are still writing \u00a0our opinions! \u00a0We have lots of opinions in our class!:)<\/p>\n<p>MATH: \u00a0We are solving addition and subtraction word problems.<\/p>\n<p>SOCIAL STUDIES: We are finishing up on our Social Studies project! \u00a0We have been learning all about needs and wants, goods and services and service workers. \u00a0Later in the week I will be administering the District Social Studies Assessment to your child. \u00a0The assessment covers the topics that we have been studying during\u00a0our project.<\/p>\n<p>SCIENCE: \u00a0We will begin our investigation of Force: \u00a0Pushes and Pulls! \u00a0Thanks to Martin&#8217;s family for sending in an excellent picture that demonstrates a push.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s to a great week!<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Wright<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Families, Here is what you need to know for our kindergarten class this week: Lunch choices for Monday are Ravioli ( chef&#8217;s choice) and grilled cheese!
