{"id":342,"date":"2016-02-10T12:13:27","date_gmt":"2016-02-10T17:13:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wilcox1\/?p=342"},"modified":"2016-02-10T12:34:35","modified_gmt":"2016-02-10T17:34:35","slug":"week-of-february-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/wilcox1\/2016\/02\/10\/week-of-february-8\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of February 8"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week we will work on our keyboarding skills.<br \/>\nGo to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.typing.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.typing.com <\/a>and be sure to LOG IN (at the top right corner).<br \/>\nLogin is your username (your 200 number)<br \/>\nPassword is either 123 or 1234 (if you made account this year)<br \/>\n**If you&#8217;ve never logged into it before you will need to<br \/>\nCREATE A NEW ACCOUNT (at the right side of the log in screen)<br \/>\nUse the above information to create your new account and don&#8217;t bother with the email section (don&#8217;t fill out the email section).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com\/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSbzJPL0PzDzq9i0tIV1x4BT09Hi0EwF8Z5Sap7CygmT2iCXAPN\" alt=\"Image result for images typing.com\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Remember to keep your fingers on the home row keys!<\/p>\n<p>(see picture above- those are the home row keys)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;re logged in, go to Lessons and try to work from the beginning lessons to the end lessons.<\/p>\n<p>There is a yellow arrow that is highlighted to show \u00a0you where to click to start.<\/p>\n<p>At the bottom of each completed screen, you will see &#8220;continue&#8221; and another yellow \u00a0highlight.<\/p>\n<p>You can track your progress at the bottom of the screen. Once you finish all the lessons shown on the line, you\u00a0will earn a BADGE. Make sure to show me so you can get a blue ticket for each badge earned.<\/p>\n<p>AFTER 20 minutes of typing, you may do the typing games offered in typing web.
