This is NOT a mandatory assignment-  just enrichment for those of you interested&#8230;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Big Read Challenge was based around the National Bestselling book titled Lab Girl by Hope Jahren-  if you are interested-  please read at your leisure.  However, you don&#8217;t necessarily have to read the book to enter the contest&#8230;..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/m.media-amazon.com\/images\/I\/51VQ0Ayp+CL.jpg\" alt=\"Lab Girl by [Hope Jahren]\" width=\"173\" height=\"267\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Dearborn students now have until April 25 to turn in <strong>stories, poems, or essays on trees, flowers, friendship, gardens, mother earth, plants, seasons (basically the book&#8217;s chapters).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students should fill out the entry form:\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1fO5kxO6ciJeuihLOgG1T9S6aOhynyHLbO6E_qODr4AY\/viewform?edit_requested=true\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1fO5kxO6ciJeuihLOgG1T9S6aOhynyHLbO6E_qODr4AY\/viewform?edit_requested=true<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They can enter their story in the form itself or send to\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:thebigreaddearborn@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\">thebigreaddearborn@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0as a Word doc.\u00a0 It is preferred that they fill out the form either way. Students can add a colored drawing or an image (of a tree, etc.) if they want to.
