I hope you had a happy Eid and Memorial Day and were able to spend time together as a family celebrating.  The activities today are a bit simpler to help get back into the learning at home.  Remember to please send me pictures of what your child is working on and learning at home so I can see them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Main Idea:<\/strong>&nbsp; Letters and Numbers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Literacy Activity <\/strong><strong><em>(10 minutes):<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp; Watch the Jack Hartmann video with the link below.&nbsp; Have your child move their bodies along with the video to practice writing lowercase letters.&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cRrYgWH8ffw\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cRrYgWH8ffw<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Math Activity <em>(10 minutes):<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 Have your child make collections of items of different numbers.\u00a0 Go outside and write the numbers on the driveway or sidewalk and have your child find items outside; like rocks, leaves &#8211; like the pictures below.\u00a0 This can also be done inside by writing the numbers on a sheet of paper and your child could make the collections with the beans or cubes. &#8211; It is important for your child to have time to be creative and use their imagination.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Clean-Up:<\/em> Provide a warning before it is time for your child to clean up, so they can bring an end to their play.&nbsp; Then have them clean up, or help clean up, the toys they were playing with.&nbsp; It should not be your job to clean up after your child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>End (Review):<\/em> Ask your child \u201cWhat did you do today?\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>*Mention what they told you at the start and see if they did do that or if they chose to do something different.&nbsp; It is ok if they change their mind and do something different.*<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Extra Activity <\/strong><strong><em>(10 minutes):<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp; Practice uppercase letters by moving along to the uppercase letter workout song, which we have done before.&nbsp;
