Main Idea:<\/strong>\u00a0 Mrs. Vasas Class<\/p>\n\n\n\n Literacy Activity (10 minutes):<\/em><\/strong> Watch the video of Mrs. Vasas spelling and writing the names of the boys and girls in class. Count to 16 by yourself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Challenge:<\/em> Find 16 things around your house to make a collection of 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Play Activity\/Work Time <\/strong>(1 hour or more):<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Start (Plan):<\/em> Ask your child \u201cWhat would you like to do today?\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n Play (Do): <\/em>Allow your child to play for at least 1 hour of free play time with their toys (no screens-no TV, no tablets). It is important for your child to have time to be creative and use their imagination. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Clean-Up:<\/em> Provide a warning before it is time for your child to clean up, so they can bring an end to their play. Then have them clean up, or help clean up, the toys they were playing with. It should not be your job to clean up after your child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n End (Review):<\/em> Ask your child \u201cWhat did you do today?\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n *Mention what they told you at the start and see if they did do that or if they chose to do something different.
