{"id":643,"date":"2014-04-29T16:05:06","date_gmt":"2014-04-29T20:05:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/turkl\/?p=643"},"modified":"2014-04-29T16:05:06","modified_gmt":"2014-04-29T20:05:06","slug":"welcome-back-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/turkl\/2014\/04\/29\/welcome-back-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome Back!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was awesome to get back and see everyone! \u00a0I was jealous of some of those tans the kids brought back with them \ud83d\ude09 \u00a0We got right back into the swing of things with no problems.<\/p>\n<p>Math homework tonight practices area and perimeter. \u00a0We did the first one together. \u00a0They should have written at the top of their paper that:<\/p>\n<p>area = the number of squares inside the shape<\/p>\n<p>perimeter = the distance around the outside of the shape.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Reading groups are being done a little differently this week due to the start of my testing. \u00a0Many of the reading groups have chapter books. \u00a0Last night their job was to summarize. \u00a0Tonight, their job is to draw a picture that relates to the reading and write a sentence that explains it. \u00a0They will meet to discuss their pictures on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>This Wednesday is the school PBIS reward. \u00a0Students who have 4 or less yellows will be able to participate. \u00a0We will spend part of the afternoon watching the Tigers game on TV and eating a &#8220;junky&#8221; snack (students should bring this from home). \u00a0Any students who have 5 yellows or more will be with Mr. Denison during that time of the day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It was awesome to get back and see everyone! \u00a0I was jealous of some of those tans the kids brought back with them \ud83d\ude09 \u00a0We got right back into the swing of things with no problems.
