{"id":3093,"date":"2018-01-11T16:39:13","date_gmt":"2018-01-11T21:39:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/turkl\/?p=3093"},"modified":"2018-01-11T16:41:04","modified_gmt":"2018-01-11T21:41:04","slug":"welcome-back-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/turkl\/2018\/01\/11\/welcome-back-5\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome Back :)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here are a few updates and reminders:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>spelling:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>There are 2 changes to our spelling routine.\u00a0 First, we now have a list A and list B.\u00a0 Students who are consistently getting 100% on their spelling tests will be moved to list B for more challenging words.\u00a0 If your child is on list B and you have concerns, please send me an email.\u00a0 Second, students are now expected to do 3 activities at home.\u00a0 We do one in class together, plus 3 at home, so they should have 4 total activities done when they turn it in on Monday.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>RAZ-KIDS:<\/strong>\u00a0 Our awesome PTA purchased a subscription for us!!\u00a0 This is a great way to make sure students are reading books that are a good fit for their level.\u00a0 I sent home a letter today explaining how it works.\u00a0 The letter also includes their log in information.\u00a0 (If lturk5 does not work as the teacher username, please try <strong>turk13<\/strong>)\u00a0 For now I am hoping that everyone can log on and check it out.\u00a0 In the future, assignments on RAZ-KIDS may be part of homework assignments.\u00a0 Here is a link to get you started:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kidsa-z.com\/main\/Login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RAZ-KIDS\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Social Studies:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>there is a test coming up on Tuesday.\u00a0 The yellow study guide came home yesterday.
