{"id":305,"date":"2014-01-16T15:08:06","date_gmt":"2014-01-16T20:08:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/turkl\/?p=305"},"modified":"2014-01-16T15:08:06","modified_gmt":"2014-01-16T20:08:06","slug":"coming-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/turkl\/2014\/01\/16\/coming-up\/","title":{"rendered":"Coming Up&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here are just a few things I want to highlight:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adam graciously pointed out that the due date for the book order is Monday and we have no school that day, <strong>so book orders can come in on Tuesday<\/strong>. \u00a0&#8211; Thanks Adam \ud83d\ude09 &#8211; \u00a0I have a few already, but I am hoping for more. \u00a0This is a good way to get inexpensive books to fill your child&#8217;s book box at school. \u00a0They use their book box every day during Daily 5 and they are often searching for some new books to put in it.<\/li>\n<li>The schedule for next week: \u00a0No school on Monday and Friday. \u00a0Thursday is a half day &#8211; students will be dismissed at 11:45.<\/li>\n<li>The week starting January 27th will be spirit week. \u00a0Monday=movie day, Tuesday=hippie day, Wednesday=class color day, Thursday=sports day, Friday=pajama day<\/li>\n<li>Friday the 31st will also be our class &#8220;birthday party&#8221;. \u00a0More info will follow&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>As report cards get closer, we are working to fit in all of the classroom\/district assessments that we are required to do for them. \u00a0Last Friday we took a reading inventory on the computer. \u00a0Tomorrow we will do a writing test in the morning and a math test in the computer lab in the afternoon. \u00a0I am also trying to get DRA&#8217;s (individualized reading assessments) done for many of the students which is making it tricky to keep up with reading groups &#8211; thank you for your patience, I know how important it is to you that your child is coming home with a book to read everyday.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Spelling test tomorrow morning \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here are just a few things I want to highlight: Adam graciously pointed out that the due date for the book order is Monday and we have no school that day, so book orders can come in on Tuesday. \u00a0&#8211; Thanks Adam \ud83d\ude09 &#8211; \u00a0I have a few already, but I am hoping for more.
