{"id":152,"date":"2013-11-01T16:30:38","date_gmt":"2013-11-01T20:30:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/turkl\/?p=152"},"modified":"2013-11-01T16:30:38","modified_gmt":"2013-11-01T20:30:38","slug":"in-the-news-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/turkl\/2013\/11\/01\/in-the-news-2\/","title":{"rendered":"In the News&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>No School on this Tuesday, November 5th!!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1\/2 day for students on Friday, November 8th. \u00a0Students will be dismissed at 11:45.<\/p>\n<p>Science Test coming up next week. \u00a0 We will review on Monday and students will be tested on Thursday. \u00a0This test will cover the 3 standards that go on the report card: \u00a01. \u00a0what living things need to survive \u00a02. \u00a0the life cycle of a plant \u00a03. \u00a0that new plants will have the same traits as the adult plant the seed came from (same fruit, same leaves, same color)<\/p>\n<p>November reading calendars came home today. \u00a0To earn their &#8220;book-it&#8221; certificate, students need to have at least 18 turkeys colored by the end of the month. \u00a0I am still collecting October calendars on Monday if your child didn&#8217;t have theirs today.<\/p>\n<p>No book bags yesterday or today. \u00a0Everyone will get a new book on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Next week&#8217;s spelling words will come home on Monday. \u00a0The pattern words will be boat, float, cloak, oat, toad.<\/p>\n<p>Have a great weekend!!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No School on this Tuesday, November 5th!! 1\/2 day for students on Friday, November 8th. \u00a0Students will be dismissed at 11:45.
