For many kids, those 5 words are the only ones they have to study. \u00a0Some students will come home with 10 words today. \u00a0That is because I have started adding individual words for them along with the pattern words. \u00a0The individual words will be part of their test.<\/li>\n<li>We are back to building stamina during Daily 5. \u00a0Today we practiced Read to Self. \u00a0Tomorrow we will build our stamina for\u00a0Work on Writing. \u00a0If all goes well with those, we should have\u00a0all of our Daily 5 choices\u00a0back by Friday.<\/li>\n<li>If your child completed a December Reading Calendar for BookIT, please return it by Wednesday. \u00a0The January calendar came home today. \u00a0Students need to read on\u00a0<em>at least<\/em> 25 days to earn their certificate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New spelling words today are: \u00a0screen, stripe, sprain, struck, spruce.
