I am truly very pleased to be teaching second grade at Howard this year!! \u00a0I have been teaching for Dearborn Public Schools since 1999 when I was hired at William Ford Elementary. \u00a0I worked at William Ford for 12 1\/2 years! \u00a0I spent most of my time there as a third grade teacher, but I also taught 4th grade and I spent a few years as a Title 1 Resource Teacher. \u00a0When the opportunity came up to become a media specialist, I thought it might be fun to try something new, so I left a community that felt like my family to give it a shot. \u00a0While I did enjoy the library, I missed the connection I had to one building, the students, and the families. \u00a0Lucky for me, Howard needed an additional teacher and so here I am. \u00a0I can tell you that this is where I really LOVE to be \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
When I am not at school with your children, I am at home with my own. \u00a0I have 3 kids: \u00a0Garrett,\u00a012 years old and in\u00a07th\u00a0grade, Avery who is 9\u00a0years old and in 4th grade, and Aubrey\u00a0who is\u00a07\u00a0years old and in 2nd grade\u00a0\ud83d\ude42 \u00a0We spend a lot of time at soccer practices and games, gymnastics, run club, and dance!! \u00a0With a 6th grader, we also spend a lot of time at the kitchen table doing homework.<\/p>\n
