{"id":80,"date":"2014-01-14T17:03:08","date_gmt":"2014-01-14T22:03:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/trayloa\/?p=80"},"modified":"2014-01-14T17:03:08","modified_gmt":"2014-01-14T22:03:08","slug":"tuesday-january-14-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/trayloa\/2014\/01\/14\/tuesday-january-14-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"Tuesday, January 14, 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello,<\/p>\n<p>Today in Language Arts the students began to read Dirk the Protector found on page 276 of our literature books. \u00a0Any student that needs the book at home can access it through our online textbook. \u00a0We will complete this reading tomorrow and discuss how we can make a connection to this text.<\/p>\n<p>All students should be writing the final drafts for their compare and contrast papers focusing on how Scrooge from &#8220;A Christmas Carol&#8221; changes and stays the same in the story. \u00a0Tomorrow I expect to see a typed final draft. the rough draft, the IBC Chart, and the Thinking Map that the students have been working on for the past two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, we will be have a multiple choice unit test on Friday. \u00a0This is going to be an open book test. \u00a0The following stories will be covered:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Zebra<\/li>\n<li>Scholarship Jacket<\/li>\n<li>A Christmas Carol<\/li>\n<li>Dirk the Protector<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We will be reviewing these stories on Thursday during class. \u00a0Any students who feel they need additional support have access to the online textbook. \u00a0They can also request to check out one of our literature books.<\/p>\n<p>Today we had choice day for journal writing. \u00a0The students were allowed to write about a topic of their choice.<\/p>\n<p>Have a great evening!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, Today in Language Arts the students began to read Dirk the Protector found on page 276 of our literature books. \u00a0Any student that needs the book at home can access it through our online textbook. \u00a0We will complete this reading tomorrow and discuss how we can make a connection to this text.
