{"id":489,"date":"2014-11-10T09:22:22","date_gmt":"2014-11-10T14:22:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/trayloa\/?p=489"},"modified":"2014-11-10T09:22:22","modified_gmt":"2014-11-10T14:22:22","slug":"monday-november-10-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/trayloa\/2014\/11\/10\/monday-november-10-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"Monday, November 10, 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In Language Arts today the students continued to practice identifying theme. \u00a0We read a new story called <em>Ant and Grasshopper.<\/em> \u00a0When the students were done reading, they worked with a partner of their choice to identify the theme in the story and explain its meaning.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to identifying theme, each class began to look at argumentative writing. \u00a0We discussed what the difference between a fact and an opinion is and discussed some examples in class. \u00a0I have added the powerpoint on fact v. opinion to this blog post.<\/p>\n<p>Homework:<\/p>\n<p>1. Read for 20 minutes<\/p>\n<p>2. Comprehension Test on <em>All Summer in a Day<\/em> and <em>Ant and Grasshopper<\/em> Friday<\/p>\n<p>3. Interactive Notebook Check Two on Friday<\/p>\n<p>4.
