\"image\"<\/a>\"image\"<\/a>\"image\"<\/a>The students were given choices for the first time during Daily 5 today. At this point, they have learned all about 6th Grade Daily 5 and are ready to be responsible for each round of Daily 5. \u00a0They were given time to read independently, create a study guide for the Word Wall in their Interactive Notebooks, and being writing their first Personal Narrative Rough Draft. \u00a0I am pleased with how well it went in each class. \u00a0All of these assignments are project based learning. None of this is homework. \u00a0The students will be required to have two Personal Narrative Rough Drafts by the time they return from break. \u00a0We will be working on these each day in class. \u00a0We will also be having a vocabulary quiz on Wednesday, October 8th. \u00a0The students will be responsible for studying vocabulary over the break. \u00a0We will be working with our vocabulary words in class which will give students extra time to study.<\/p>\n

While students were working, I began meeting one-on-one with students to set goals for themselves while they are reading. \u00a0These goals were selected based upon the Daily 5 Cafe Menu Strategies. \u00a0If I did not meet with your child today, I will be doing so tomorrow.<\/p>\n
